Summer Eddy Trail Run - St. Edward State Park
Summer Eddy is a trail running event held at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA, on the northeast shore of Lake Washington. It is part of the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill series. The event uses the park’s network of trails and finishes near the historic seminary building that sits in the park.
The course features a mix of wider groomed trails and winding single track with some root- and rock-strewn sections. Southern and western portions of the park have steeper trails that descend about 85 m from the lawn near the seminary. Northern and eastern trails have swooping turns and flowy bike lines that are used by runners. The route includes at least two road crossings and a final stretch across lawn and promenade back to the finish. The 4-mile distance is one loop; the 8-mile distance is two loops.
An aid station is located at the start/finish and serves as the halfway point for the 8-mile runners. Typical aid offerings include water, an electrolyte drink, and assorted carbohydrate or salty snacks. Parking in the park requires a Discover Pass. Dogs are not allowed on the course in line with event USATF policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
