Summer Eddy Trail Run

The Summer Eddy Trail Run is held at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, Washington. This event is part of the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill series and takes place on the northeast shoreline of Lake Washington. The park features a natural forest, undeveloped waterfront, and the historic St. Edward Seminary building.

Participants can choose from two distances:

  • 4.2 miles with 130m of elevation gain
  • 8.6 miles with 270m of elevation gain

The course consists of a single loop for the shorter distance and two loops for the longer distance. The trails at the park include a variety of terrain such as wide gravel paths, winding single track, and some technical sections with rocks and roots. The northern and eastern sections of the park feature swooping turns, while the southern and western portions include steeper descents toward the lake.

An aid station is available at the start and finish area, providing water, electrolyte drinks, and various snacks like fruit, cookies, and salty foods. After the run, the event offers a social gathering with food such as hot dogs and watermelon. Top finishers in the female and open categories receive awards, and a raffle is conducted for all participants.

Parking is available on-site, though a Discover Pass is required. The event is USATF sanctioned, and dogs are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
