The Loughgall Run Forest Run event takes place on 10 January 2026 at Loughgall Country Park, 11-14 Main Street, Loughgall, Armagh, BT61 8HZ. It is the fourth race in the Run Forest Run Series and the first race of the new year. The event offers the following distances:

  • 5K
  • 10K
  • Junior 5K (ages 11-17)
  • Junior 10K (ages 15-17)

The start and finish are located close to the park reception and golf reception building. The route passes the main gates and uses forest paths around the estate, including sections by the golf course and the lake.

Entry, fees and race packs

Entry is online only. Race packs are posted to participants and should arrive by the Thursday before the race. Entry fees listed are: 5K & 10K £27 (early bird £26 before 5 November 2025); Junior races £21 (junior early bird £19 before 5 November 2025). Postal options are charged per region and registration processing fees apply in addition.

Course, facilities and rules

The course surface is a mix of tarmac and gravel. Toilet and shower facilities are available at the reception building, the football pavilion and the changing room building. Armagh Banbridge Craigavon Council car parking charges apply; a concession fee of £2 per car is noted for runners. There will be no water stations on course; runners should plan to carry water. Pets and buggies are not permitted on the course.

Timing and prizes

Entries include individual chip timing, a Run Forest Run medal, race number and post-race refreshments. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers. Series category prizes are awarded after the series to runners who complete at least five of the six races, using the five quickest race results to calculate winners.
