The ACTI-SNACK Run Forest Run at Antrim Castle Gardens takes place on 7 February 2026 at Antrim Castle Gardens, Randalstown Road, Antrim BT41 4LH. Distances offered:

  • 5K - mainly within the gardens with a short section on the Main Road.
  • 10K - a route that passes the ruins of Shanes Castle and includes views of Lough Neagh, then returns through the gardens and wood.

This race is the fifth event in the Run Forest Run series. Entry categories include adult and junior rates, with junior age limits specified for each distance. Entry fees and an early bird discount are stated. Race packs and bibs are posted to participants and entries use a postal option (Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland) at registration.

Course, facilities and rules

The start and finish area is at the Parterre, a short walk from the registration room. Registration is online only; limited on-the-day service may be available for merchandise collection and queries. There is no parking at the gardens; public car parks are available at Antrim Marina (Lough Road) and in Antrim town centre (Dublin Road, Castle Street, Castle Way, Railway Street). Toilets are located behind Clotworthy House, at the Garden Coffee Shop, in portaloos near the start line, and at the Lough Shore Car Park.

Entries include a race medal, individual chip timing, race number, and post-race refreshments. There will be no water station on course.
