The event is a fell race at Whinlatter Visitor Centre, with the venue listed as Cafe Ambio (CA12 5TW). The course distance is 8 km / 5 miles with a total climb of 430 m / 1411 ft. Entry, age and logistics

Entry is on the day only; there is no pre-entry. The entry fee on the day is £7, payable in cash. Competitors are asked to park in the main Whinlatter car park; separate car parking charges apply. Junior races are provided for children aged 6 and up, with registration taking place at the cafe. The minimum age for the senior race is 15. Junior runners aged 16 or over on 31/12/2026 may run in the seniors race with a signed parent consent form. Teams are not allowed. Course records are 31:14 (male, 2018) and 34:29 (female, 2017).
