About the race

The NAV4 LiAD Recce from Helvellyn to Ambleside is a guided recce event hosted by Joe Faulkner and the NAV4 team on behalf of Durty Events. Taking place in the Lake District, this 11-mile route features approximately 6,000 feet of ascent, covering key sections including Sticks Pass, Helvellyn, Grisedale Hause, Fairfield, and the descent to Ambleside. The event focuses on navigation skills, route strategy, and mountain safety, with experienced tutors providing guidance.

Starting from Legburthwaite, participants benefit from public transport access and detailed advice on gear, nutrition, and training. The recce offers a supportive atmosphere for LiAD participants to prepare effectively for the Lakes in a Day challenge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
