Longridge Daylight 10k Trail Run
The Longridge Daylight 10k Trail Run is a charity off‑road race held in the Ribble Valley, with the event base at Ribble View Stud near Alston Lane, Preston. The route covers a 10 km distance and begins from an elevated position overlooking the River Ribble.
The course follows bridal paths, footpaths along the banks of the River Ribble and open farmland. It uses the same route as the Lamplight 10k and passes through landscapes where participants may spot deer and other wildlife. A GPX file for the route is available for download.
Event facilities include a gin distillery bar on site at the start and finish area offering drinks for participants and guests. Each participant receives a free meal and a snood after the run.
The minimum age for runners is 18 years. Entry fee is £20. All proceeds from the event are directed to Chipping Football Club for the construction of a new 3G football pitch.
