Long Play Trail Run
The Long Play Trail Run is a trail running event in Brooksville, Florida, held on March 7, 2026. Races start and finish at the Ridge Manor Trailhead on the Withlacoochee State Trail and route runners along the Withlacoochee River before entering the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest. The main course is a single-track, single-loop 33 1/3 mile route that passes through seldom-traveled forest sections.

Course support and logistics vary by distance. The 33 1/3 mile distance includes five aid stations with two visited twice, two hydration-only stops, and allowance for two drop bags. The half marathon includes two aid stations. The 6K has no on-course aid but finish-line refreshments are provided. GPX course files are available for the 33 1/3 mile and the half marathon; a 6K file is noted as coming soon.
All finishers receive a finisher award and a handcrafted medal; a vinyl record is listed among finisher items and special awards are given to top finishers by gender for each distance. A post-race barbecue or picnic is offered. Camping is available nearby at Crooked River, Cypress Glenn, and Silver Lake campgrounds; Crooked River is tent only with no pets, while Cypress Glenn and Silver Lake accept tents and RVs and allow pets.
