The Lonesome Pine Trail Run takes place on 31 January 2026 at Kielder Forest. It is Race 5 of the Shadowlands Race Series and is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd. The event is a night trail run with a distance of 17 km and total elevation gain of 369 m. Minimum entry age is 18 or older. Entries open 26 October 2025 and close 26 January 2026.

Course and entry information

The route uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails, centred on the Lonesome/Sky Dive mountain bike trails. Runners follow the relatively flat Lakeside Way before moving into hillier sections, reach a highest point, then descend new mountain bike trails that lead toward Kielder village and the finish. Prizes are available on the night and participants can earn points toward an overall presentation scheduled at Pedalling Squares cafe on 21 February 2026.
