The Lonesome Pine Trail Run is a night trail race held in Kielder Forest. It is Race 5 of the Shadowlands Race Series. The course distance is 17 km with 369 m of elevation. The route uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails, centring on the Lonesome/Sky Dive mountain bike trails. Runners follow a relatively flat section on the Lakeside Way before climbing to the highest point, then descend on new mountain bike trails that lead toward Kielder village and the finish.

Entry, rules and other details

Entries open 26 October 2025 and close 26 January 2026. The minimum age is 18 on the event date. Listed entry fees are UKA members £28 and non-members £30; the entry fee includes a £4 Forestry England charge. A £2 fee applies to participants who are not UKA members. The event is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and is held under TRA/UKA rules. The race offers prizes on the night and the opportunity to score points toward the series presentation at Pedalling Squares cafe on 21 February 2026.
