Event Overview

The North Star Ultra is a two-day ultra marathon event held in June 2026. It consists of 5 legs that participants must complete, with the North leg required to be the last.

Legs and Route

The legs correspond to points of a star: North, East, South East, South West, and West. Participants can choose the order for the first four legs. Each leg is an out-and-back route starting from Kielder Castle. Leg characteristics vary, with some being shorter, some having climbs, and some being exposed. The North leg is entirely outdoors, while other legs have indoor support at turnaround points.

Participation Options

The event allows participation as solo runners, pairs, or quads. The total distance to cover is 170 miles of trail.

Support and Logistics

Participants are tracked throughout the event. Support teams are on standby to assist if needed. Rankings are based on the furthest distance completed.

Entry Details
