Lone Wolf 135 overview
Lone Wolf 135 is a 135 mile trail race near Griffin, GA, run as ten laps of a 13.5 mile double track trail loop centered on a lake on private property. The loop is well marked, does not cross itself, and has no intersections or repeats.
The course includes more than 20,000 feet of climbing in total, with over 2,000 feet of vertical per loop. Poles are allowed. There is one full aid station at the start/finish for every loop and an additional water stop reached twice each lap at roughly mile 6 and mile 9. The aid station offers food items such as pizza, biscuits, and seasonal treats.
This event is strictly self supported: no outside help is allowed, including no crew, no pacers, and no non-runners in aid stations or personal staging areas. Each runner receives a randomly assigned personal 4x8 foot staging area near the start/finish that only the runner and official volunteers may access. If anyone not officially associated with the race touches a runner or their gear, the runner will be disqualified.
A 48 hour cutoff is enforced for the full distance. Entry requires at least one prior 100 mile finish. Registration is limited to 25 runners for 2026. Finishers receive a single finish buckle and the overall first male and female receive trophies. Carrying a phone is suggested but not required.
