Feeling Loopy Trail Race : Thomaston, Georgia

The Feeling Loopy Trail Race is a lap-based trail event held on a family-owned working cattle farm in middle Georgia near Thomaston. The course is a 4.37 mile loop that runs mostly through pastures with a five-foot path, and includes about 1.7 miles of forest single track with roots and rocks. Each loop has roughly 400 feet of elevation gain with runnable hills and flat sections.

Three timed formats are offered:

  • 8 hour event: run as many loops as possible
  • 4 hour event: run as many loops as possible
  • 1 hour event: a single lap option of approximately 4 miles

The start/finish is in a large open pasture with room for free parking and crew set-up along the course. Portable toilets are located near the first trail segment about 400 feet from the start/finish. The trail is marked with guide ropes and arrows. Water refills are available near the start/finish area and mid-course; this is a cupless event so runners should use their own handheld bottle or hydration pack. Race food will be available to supplement personal fuel for the four and eight hour participants.

Awards and items include a medal for the first male and first female finisher in each race and a short sleeve participation shirt for runners registered by August 23, 2026. Three laps equal a half marathon, six laps equal a marathon, and eight laps exceed 50K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
