8 Hours of Christmas

The 8 Hours of Christmas is a vertical elimination race taking place in Molena, Georgia. The event follows a specific format where participants have one hour to complete a 4 mile loop. Each loop features approximately 1000 feet of elevation gain. To remain in the competition, runners must return to the starting area within the designated one-hour time limit.

The event continues for a total of eight hours. During the final 4 mile loop, the individual with the fastest lap time is declared the winner. Participants receive various awards based on the number of successful laps they complete.

  • 50K (total distance for those completing all loops)
  • Vertical Elimination Race

After the first hour, finishers earn a Christmas ornament. Those who complete the second hour receive a water bottle. The prizes continue to increase in value as runners progress through each subsequent loop of the day.

Registration includes membership for the upcoming calendar year, which provides a pair of sweatpants at packet pickup and a discount on future events hosted by the organizer. The course is located at 506 Thundering Springs Rd. A full refund policy is available for those who cancel at least three months prior to the race date.
