Good Neighbor Relay - Zebulon
The Good Neighbor Relay is a community endurance event at Pike County Stadium in Zebulon, Georgia. Teams of two take turns completing a mostly trail loop of approximately 3 miles. While one teammate runs a loop, the other rests at a home base area and is tagged in for the next loop.
The event offers two relay options, a 12 hour relay and a 6 hour relay. The registration fee listed covers both team members. An early bird discount is available through August 14, and prices increase by $15 per person after that date. Participants who register before September 4 will receive an event t-shirt; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt.
An informal kid fun run will take place midday; a $10 donation is requested for fun run participants. All proceeds benefit the Pike County Free Lunch Program and Backpack Buddies of Georgia. The Pike County Free Lunch Program is noted as operating at a $38,000 deficit.
Event logistics note that this is a cupless event and water and electrolytes will be provided. Participants are expected to bring their own snacks, meals, and endurance fuel. Teams are encouraged to set up a home base at the track, each team will receive a large trash bag, and teams are expected to clean up their area before leaving.
