Event overview

The Little Loggers Trail Fest is a kids trail running event for children ages 12 and under on June 21, 2026 in North Bend, Pennsylvania (161 Sportsmans Lane). The event is offered free of charge to participants age 12 and under and includes entry into the Little Pine 5 Miler in October at Little Pine State Park for participants.

Course and safety

The kids course is about 2.75 miles with a few small hills and possibly one small stream crossing depending on rainfall. The course will be flagged and have volunteers along the route, with most volunteers likely within sight of one another. There will be one aid station staffed with EMS at the halfway point. Organizers state no runners will be left alone on course.

Registration, logistics and series information

Kids-only registration opens January 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET. Registration is free but limited to a hard cap of 300 children; a signed parental or guardian waiver is required. Parents or guardians may run with their child but should not register themselves; a volunteer pacer can be provided if needed. The event is part of the Rocksylvania Kids Trail Series, which requires pre-registration and completion of all three series races to earn a series finisher award. Lunch and activities for kids are planned after the race, with typical options listed as hot dogs, pizza, and drinks. The waiver allows use of participant photos or video unless organizers are notified otherwise. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
