LDWA Hunnypot Hundred 2026
The Hunnypot Hundred is the flagship event of the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA), held over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The 2026 edition is hosted by the Kent group and follows a route through Kent and Sussex. Participants have a time limit of 48 hours to complete the course.
The event follows an undulating path starting at Meopham Leisure Centre. The route travels through the North Downs, the Greensand Ridge, and the Weald before crossing into Sussex to explore the Ashdown Forest. The course then returns through the Weald to the Greensand Ridge and North Downs. The terrain consists of hilly heathland and rural paths, with less than 17 miles taking place on roads or country lanes.
The route includes sections of several established long-distance paths:
- 100 miles (161 km) with approximately 11,250 feet of total ascent.
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the publication of Winnie the Pooh, the course visits locations within the Ashdown Forest associated with the stories, such as Pooh Sticks Bridge, the 100 Acre Wood, and the Enchanted Place.
Registration is open to LDWA members aged 18 or older. Entrants must have completed a qualifying event to be eligible for participation. The event is supported by checkpoints located along the route where participants can take short breaks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
