LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon

Organised by LDWA Heart Of England, this event returns to forest areas around Henley in Arden, Warwickshire. Routes start and finish at the Memorial Hall on Station Road.

Distances:

  • 27 miles Marathon route, three checkpoints
  • 20 miles Short route, two checkpoints

Checkpoints serve snacks and hot and cold drinks. A hot meal will be served at the finish. The route passes through a mix of newly planted, growing, established and mature forest to show early autumn in the Heart of England Forest.

There is no specific event parking; several public car parks are within a 10 minute walk of the headquarters and public transport options are available. The event has a new headquarters, revised routes and new checkpoints.

Entries open 4 April 2026 and close 21 September 2026. Entry fees are listed for LDWA members and non members. Entries recorded so far are shown for the event.

Under 18s must be accompanied at all times by a guardian over 18 and have written parental approval. Dogs are not permitted on the route. Any surplus funds after expenses will be donated to the Heart of England Forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
