Lavenham Railway 10K

The event on Sunday 31st January 2027 is a 10 km mixed terrain race through the medieval village of Lavenham. The route follows an old disused railway line and includes footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads, with splashy muddy conditions likely in winter. The course is fully marked and marshalled, and first aid will be available.

Timing is manual. All finishers receive a medal and there are podium trophies for the top three male and top three female finishers. An optional eco friendly finisher medal is offered. The event is cupless; fresh drinking water will be provided for refilling personal bottles only.

Entry requires a minimum age of 16 years and there is a 90 minute cut off time. Race numbers will not be sent out in advance; participants must collect and attach their bib before the race. A £2 fee applies to non attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules.

Location is Lavenham Village Hall, Church St, Lavenham, Sudbury, CO10 9QT. A large public car park is available but vehicles are parked at owners own risk and the organisers accept no responsibility for loss or damage. The event carries race permit 6988.

Participants enter at their own risk. Competitors must ensure they are medically fit to take part and use appropriate grippy footwear. Medical assistance will be available but organisers and landowners do not accept liability for injuries. By entering, competitors consent to use of photos and video on the organiser website, sponsor websites and in promotional materials. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
