Lavenham 10K Race

The Lavenham 10 km takes place on Sunday 31st January 2027 in the medieval village of Lavenham. The route follows the old disused railway line and runs over mixed terrain, including footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads. The course is fully marked and marshalled and first aid will be available during the event.

Timing is manual. All finishers receive a medal and podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. An optional eco friendly finisher medal is available. The event is cupless; fresh drinking water is provided for refilling personal bottles but no disposable cups are supplied.

Minimum age for entry is 16 years and a 90 minute cut off time applies. A £2 fee applies to non attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules. Competitors enter at their own risk and must ensure they are medically fit to take part. Appropriate grippy footwear is advised because of varied and potentially slippery surfaces. Medical assistance will be on site, but organisers and landowners accept no liability for injuries.

Location details note Lavenham Village Hall, Church St, Lavenham, Sudbury CO10 9QT. A large public car park is available and vehicles are parked at owners risk. Race Permit 6988 applies.
