The Lavenham Old Railway 10k Trail Race takes place on Sunday 1st February 2026 in Lavenham. Entry fee is £24. The race is manually timed and has a 90-minute cut-off. All finishers receive a medal and podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers. First aid will be available on site. To reduce single-use waste this is a cupless event; fresh drinking water will be available for refilling personal bottles but no cups will be provided. A £2 fee applies to non-attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules. Race permit: 6988.

Course, location and conditions

The route is a mixed multi-terrain course of 10k that follows the old disused railway line and includes footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads. The event location is Lavenham Village Hall, Church St, Lavenham, Sudbury, CO10 9QT. A large public car park is available; cars are parked entirely at the owner’s risk and the organisers and landowners accept no responsibility for loss or damage. Participants enter at their own risk and should ensure they are medically fit to take part. Appropriate grippy footwear is recommended. Race numbers will not be sent in advance and must be collected and attached before the race. Photographs and video from the event may be used by the organiser and sponsors.
