Lavenham 10K Race
The Lavenham 10K Race on Sunday 31st January 2027 is a trail event in the medieval village of Lavenham, Sudbury. The route is a 10 km mixed-terrain circuit that follows the old disused railway line and uses local footpaths and quiet rural roads.
The course includes forest trails, shallow streams and sections of the former railway embankment. The organiser notes the route can be splashy and muddy in winter and recommends appropriate grippy footwear. The event is manually timed, fully marked and marshalled, and first aid will be available.
This is a cupless race. Fresh drinking water will be provided for filling personal bottles but no cups are supplied. Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the race start between 08:00 and 08:45 on the day. A minimum age of 16 applies and there is a 90 minute cut-off time. Non-attached club runners pay a £2 fee to comply with UK Athletics Rules. The event holds Race Permit 6988 and is listed as affiliated and non-affiliated.
