Course, rules and facilities

The course follows the old disused railway line and includes mixed terrain: footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads. The description notes wetter, splashy conditions are possible during winter and advises appropriate grippy footwear. The event is cupless: drinking water will be available for refill of personal bottles but no single-use cups are provided. Minimum age for entry is 16 years and a 90-minute cut-off time applies. Non-attached club runners pay an additional £2 fee to comply with UK Athletics rules. Race numbers will be issued on the day and will not be posted in advance. A large public car park is available; cars are parked at owners’ risk. The race operates under Race Permit 6988. Participants enter at their own risk and must ensure they are medically fit to take part. By entering, competitors consent to use of photos and video for event publicity.
