The race is manually timed, provides a finisher medal for all finishers, and awards podium trophies to the top three male and top three female finishers. First aid will be available on site. Minimum age for entry is 16 years and there is a 90-minute cut-off time. A £2 fee applies to runners who are not attached to a club. Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the event.

Course and logistics

The course follows a mixed-terrain route along the disused railway line and nearby paths. It includes footpaths, forest trails, shallow streams and quiet rural roads, so sections may be wet or muddy in winter. The organiser describes the event as cupless; drinking water will be available for refill of personal bottles, but no disposable cups will be provided. The venue is Lavenham Village Hall, Church Street, Lavenham, Sudbury, CO10 9QT, and a large public car park is available; vehicles are parked at owners' risk. The event carries Race Permit 6988. Participants enter at their own risk, should be medically fit to compete, and are advised to wear appropriate grippy footwear. Entry implies consent to use of photos and video footage by the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
