Lakeland Paws Grizedale Growl takes place on Sunday 8 February 2026 at Grizedale Forest (LA22 0QJ, GB). Course and race details

The event is held on the east side of Grizedale Forest and uses wide forest paths. The course will be fully marked and chip timed. GPX files are available for download.

Distances:

  • 10K loop with 260 m of ascent
  • 6K with 150 m of ascent

The 6K avoids some of the ascent and is noted as a shorter option for dogs. The route allows up to two dogs per runner; all dogs must run on a suitable harness. Runners may compete with or without dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Take on a classic Lake District fell around Latrigg on a flagged 8 km / 5 miles course with 460 m of climb and stunning views. Starts and finishes at Fitz Park Pavilion, Keswick, and pre entry via SiEntries is required.

Take on Orrest Sun Up in Windermere on Sun 21 Dec 2025, a bracing one mile climb to Orrest Head with stunning Lake District views. Entry on the day from The Phoenix Centre is £5 with donations supporting local community charities.
