Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon - 2026

The Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Holdingford, Minnesota, at Holdingford High School. The in-person field is limited to 500 runners and participants must be 18 years or older.

Registration fee tiers apply for the in-person marathon: $70 (early registration through 9/30), $80 (through 11/30), $90 (through 12/31), $100 (through 3/31), and $120 for late registration from 3/31 through 4/26. A Virtual Marathon option is offered with a $50 registration fee through 4/26. Registrations are accepted only until April 26 or until the race fills. There is no race day registration.

The race enforces a strict six hour time limit. It is a running-only event; pets, wheelchairs, hand-cycles, strollers, inline skates, bicycles, and similar equipment are not allowed. Entry fees are nonrefundable, not deferrable, and nontransferable. Virtual participants may submit results through the event's virtual results process.
