Collegeville Ultra

Collegeville, United States • 3 May 2026

Event Overview

The Collegeville Ultra takes place at Saint John’s University within the Saint John’s Abbey Arboretum. This trail event is designed with a focus on sustainability and utilizes a course that winds through nearly 3,000 acres of protected natural land. Participants travel through various ecosystems, including prairie, oak savanna, hardwood forest, conifer forest, lakes, and wetlands.

Course Details

The event is structured around a 10 mile loop. The terrain consists of a variety of surfaces such as dirt, double track, single track, boardwalks, and paved sections. Runners can choose from the following distances:

  • 10 Miles: Consists of one full loop.
  • 20 Miles: Consists of two full loops.
  • 50k: Consists of three full loops plus an additional short section.

Logistics and Sustainability

The start and finish area is located near the Saint John’s Durenberger Athletic Fields in Collegeville, Minnesota. To minimize environmental impact, the event is cupless, and participants are required to carry their own water bottles or reusable containers.

There are two aid stations provided per loop. The first station is situated at the race start and offers space for drop bags. The second station is located near the Stone Gate and is accessible for support crews via the Old Entrance Road. Runners pass this second aid station twice during every loop. All participants must check in at each aid station to record their race number.

Amenities and Recognition

Packet pickup is available on the morning of the event at the race site. Participants who register by the designated April deadline receive a race t-shirt. Finisher medallions are awarded for all distances, and there is a specific recognition for the fastest first lap completed, regardless of the total race distance entered.
