The Lake Of The Woods 5k & 50K takes place on February 7, 2026 at the Lake Of The Woods Campgrounds in Farmersville, Ohio (3939 Swartzel Rd). The event offers multiple run and ruck options:

The course is a 5k loop that runs through the woods and around the lake. 5k participants complete one loop and 50k participants complete ten loops. Trails are described as wide and passable, with hills and a shallow creek crossing. Two aid stations are on course, including a main aid station at the start/finish area and one roughly halfway.
Facilities at the campground include an outdoor shelter serving as the main aid station, two port-a-potties at the main aid, and heated indoor restrooms and showers when the park has not winterized them. The site also has a large bonfire area for outdoor warming and hot soup and mashed potatoes served all day at the main aid station.
Ruck participants must carry a minimum of 25 pounds and will be weighed at packet pickup; weighted vests are not allowed. Packet pickup, parking instructions, and an award ceremony are part of the event operations. Entry includes an official poster, a drawstring bag, and a finisher medal; a race hooded pullover is available for pre-order until January 23.
