The Lake Of The Woods 5k & 50K takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Lake Of The Woods Camp Grounds, 3939 Swartzel Rd, Farmersville, OH 45325. The event includes both running and rucking options and is held rain or shine.

All registrants for the 5k or 50k run/ruck receive an official 2025 LOW50k poster, a drawstring bag, and a finishers medal. A race hooded pullover is available for pre-order for $25 until January 23.

Course and logistics

The course is a 5k loop that runs through the woods and around the lake. 5k participants complete one loop; 50k participants complete ten loops. Trails are described as wide and very passable, with hills and a creek crossing that is not deep. There is a main aid station at the clubhouse area and a second aid station roughly halfway on the course. The campground offers a shower house with heated restrooms unless the park winterizes facilities, two port-a-potties at the main aid, an outdoor shelter as the main aid station, a bonfire area, and hot soup and mashed potatoes served all day. Ruckers must carry a minimum of 25 lb and will be weighed at packet pick up; weighted vests are not allowed. Parking is at the campground, with less than a quarter mile walk to the clubhouse.
