The Lake Norman State Park Trail Race is scheduled for December 6, 2025 at Lake Norman State Park in Troutman, NC. The event offers the following distances:

Course, aid, and other details

The course runs on smooth-rolling single-track trails made up of named loops. All loops are completed in a clockwise direction, opposite the direction of bike traffic. The 30K route uses Laurel, Wildlife, Fallstown, and Fox loops and has about 1,500 feet of elevation gain. The 50K follows the 30K route and adds Hawk, Monbo, Norwood Creek, and Hicks Creek loops for about 1,900 feet of elevation gain.

Aid stations will serve water, Mountain Dew, Coke, Ginger Ale, and Tailwind, plus food such as sandwiches, cookies, fruit, gels, chips, and other snacks. Aid Station #1 is at Wildlife Loop (approx Mile 2.5 and Mile 10.5 for all runners). Aid Station #2 is at Monbo Loop (approx Mile 18.4 and Mile 24.5 for 50K runners). Packet pickup begins on race day. Finishers receive a medal; awards will be given to 1st overall male and female and 1st male and female masters for each event. Photographs from the race will be emailed to registered runners.
