Frosty Cox 6 Hour Trail Race
The Frosty Cox is a six hour trail event held on a private network of trails at 3702 Sapp Road in Concord, NC. The course is a 6.2-mile (10K) loop composed of about 95% singletrack, 5% jeep road, and entirely dirt. Each loop includes approximately 1,350 feet of elevation gain.
The route crosses a creek and passes through hardwood forests and mature pine groves. The terrain features sustained climbs and descents on a compact Piedmont property that is normally closed to the public. Only full laps count toward a runner’s distance total.
A staffed aid station is located at the loop turnaround and returns. The aid station offers standard snacks, Tailwind, home-baked goods, and may provide hot cocoa if conditions are cold. Parking is available on site and across the street; carpooling is recommended.
Awards are given to all runners who complete at least one full lap and to the top overall male and female finishers. Completing five full laps (31 miles) within the six hour time limit earns a 50K award. Packet pickup and a pre-race briefing are held on site. Due to limited field size and event costs, the organizer does not offer refunds.
