5K Obstacle Mud Run
The Muddy Princess returns to Charlotte, North Carolina, on Sunday, August 30, 2026. This outdoor event takes place at Porter Farms Inc in Concord and consists of a 5 km course featuring more than 18 obstacles. The event is organized exclusively for women and welcomes participants aged 7 years and older.
The course is designed with an emphasis on teamwork and personal achievement rather than competition. Participants have the option to run, jog, or walk through the mud and obstacles. There are no specific fitness requirements or qualifications necessary to enter, and the event is open to different experience levels.
The event village and course include several amenities for participants:
- 5 km (approx. 3.1 miles) mud run with over 18 obstacles.
Registered participants receive a headband, bracelet, sticker, temporary tattoo, and a finisher's medal upon completion. The site provides hydration points along the route, a rinse-off station for after the run, and digital photos of the event. On-site bag check and event parking are available.
The organization partners with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to support breast cancer awareness and care. Female volunteers assist with various operations, including registration and course motivation, while male volunteers provide support in the event village with bag drops and sample bag packing.
