The Kokopelli XC Invitational is a cross country meet at the El Pomar Youth Sports Complex, 2212 Executive Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80905. The event includes youth races and an Open/Masters division that is part of the Colorado Long Distance Grand Prix Series, which features a $10,000 prize purse and a club championship with age-graded scoring. Youth and Masters athletes race using their age as of December 31, 2025.

Race format, fees and logistics

  • 8 & Under - 2 km (born 2017+)
  • 9–10 - 3 km (born 2015-2016)
  • 11–12 - 3 km (born 2013-2014)
  • 13–14 - 4 km (born 2011-2012)
  • Open & Masters - 5 km (all ages)

Registration opens September 11, 2025; a registration deadline is listed as November 5, 2025. Base entry fees are $25 for youth and $30 for Open/Masters, not including processing or service fees. Packet pickup opens 60 minutes before the first race at the covered picnic table on the east side of the park. Youth awards go 1st–10th per age group; Open/Masters awards cover top three in age divisions (Open 15-39, Masters 40+, Grand Masters 50+, Senior Masters 60+).
