KNC 6 at Rusthall Common is a Kent Night Cup round held on Thursday 13th November. The map combines forest and urban areas and includes rock features. The event uses a 60 minutes score format with 21 controls and 10 dumbbells. There is an entry limit of 40 competitors. Online advance registration only.

Entry fees are: senior members £7, senior non-members £10; juniors £4; groups £12 (members) or £15 (non-members). Juniors are defined as under 21 on 31st December. A basic non-SIAC dibber (electronic timing device) is available for loan.

Logistics and rules

A free car park is provided at Southwood Road Recreation Ground, Rusthall, TN4 8UU. Apres-O catering is listed as Thai cuisine at The Red Lion, Rusthall, with pre-ordering required. Results will not be displayed at the event; split prints are available and final results will appear on the organiser’s website after the event. If a competitor withdraws before the event, they will receive a credit note for future events.

Competitors must follow the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct. If a competitor has a medical condition the organisers should know about, a medical form must be completed and handed in a sealed envelope; the form can be collected or will be destroyed after the event. Take part in a woodland night score at Westerham: 60 minute navigation to collect as many 10 point controls as you can from 20 locations. Limited entries, book online in advance; apres and prize giving at The Carpenters Arms.

Explore runnable forest at Shoreham Woods with courses for all abilities and a one hour score challenge. Online entry only; trails are shared with walkers, riders and bikers and have some steep slippery slopes.

Run as many 5 km laps as you can in three hours around Peaslake Village Hall. A friendly night event with head torches, refreshments, prizes for top men and women plus shoe demos.
