Martello Half Marathon

The Martello Half Marathon is a trail race in Seaford, East Sussex, combining the Seaford seafront with the South Downs. The course is described as undulating with some challenging climbs and coastal views. The event is organised by Martello Rotary Seaford together with Seaford Striders Running Club and takes place on 19 April 2026.

Route information and downloadable maps including GPX files are provided. Runners must reach the first water station, at approximately 4 miles, within one hour as a safety cut off. The route includes marked sections and marshal support on the course.

Any surplus after event expenses in 2026 will be split equally between Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, St Wilfrid’s Hospice (Eastbourne) and Rotary Martello Seaford. The event package includes a bespoke medal, water stations and free race photos published on the event Facebook page. On-the-day entry is listed at £30 and entrants must be aged 17 or over on the race date.

Logistics note: registration, number collection and bag storage are provided at the Scout Hut in Salts Recreation Ground. There are toilet facilities at the venue and additional temporary toilets have been arranged. Free seafront parking is available though it may fill; Seaford railway station and nearby bus stops are a short walk from the race location.
