Martello Half Marathon

The Seaford Martello Half Marathon takes place on 19 April 2026 in Seaford, East Sussex. Organised by Martello Rotary Seaford and Seaford Striders Running Club, the event is a trail half marathon that links the Seaford seafront with the South Downs. The course is undulating and includes notable climbs and varied terrain.

For safety there is a cut off: runners must reach the first water station, at approximately 4 miles, within one hour. Water stations are provided along the route. Registration, number collection and bag storage are based at the Scout Hut in the Salts Recreation Ground. Toilets are available at the Salts Recreation Ground and additional external toilet provisions have been arranged.

There is ample free parking on the seafront though spaces can fill quickly; a nearby pay and display car park is on Richmond Road. Seaford railway station and local bus stops are about a five minute walk from the event.

Any surplus after event expenses in 2026 will be split equally between Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, St Wilfrid’s Hospice Eastbourne and Rotary Martello Seaford. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, water stations, free photos on the event Facebook page, and bananas and homemade flapjacks at the finish. On the day entry for the half marathon is listed at £30 subject to availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
