The Martello Half Marathon is a Half Marathon held in Seaford, East Sussex on 19 April 2026. It is organised jointly by Rotary Martello Seaford and Seaford Striders Running Club and is staged from The Salts Recreation Ground, Richmond Road, Seaford BN25 1DR. Entry is open to entrants aged 17 and over on the event date.

Course and safety

The route combines the Seaford seafront with the South Downs and is described as a trail with undulating terrain. Detailed route maps and GPX files are provided. There is a compulsory cut-off: runners must reach the first water station at approximately 4 miles within one hour to continue. Seaford Striders provide marshal support along the course.

Entry, facilities and charity

Entry fees are shown between £28 and £30, with an on-the-day fee listed at £30 where available. Registration, number collection and bag storage are located at Seaford Rugby Club in the Salts Recreation Ground. Toilets are available at the venue and additional external toilet provision has been arranged. There is free parking on the seafront and nearby pay-and-display car parks; Seaford railway station and local bus stops are about a five-minute walk away. The event provides water stations, a bespoke medal and free photos on the event Facebook page. Any surplus after event expenses will be split equally between Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, St Wilfrid’s Hospice (Eastbourne) and Rotary Martello Seaford. Winter on the Downs offers single loop ultra races from Eastbourne over the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs, with 50K, 55 mile and 100 mile options. Expect winter trail conditions, dramatic coastal views and a true South Downs test.

Enjoy scenic trails across the South Downs from Plumpton Racecourse with 21.3 km, 12.0 km or 9 km options weaving tree lines, hilltop views and a flat finish. Chip timing, water stations and a finisher medal make it a rewarding day out.

The Mince Pie 10 is a festive 10 mile mixed terrain run in Peacehaven, with fancy dress, seasonal music and mince pies at the finish. Fun, muddy miles and a recycled medal await while supporting local children's and hospice charities.

Run a scenic 10 km loop around Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on 7 December 2025, mostly on trail and fully marshalled and marked. Limited to 70 runners, with postrace tea and cake at Winchelsea Beach Community Centre.
