Phoenix Running West Sussex - Ladybird Run

Phoenix Running West Sussex stages a lap-based running event at Ardingly Reservoir, held as part of a four-race summer series across May and June with nature-inspired medals. The course uses a 7 km (4.35 mile) out and back lap around the reservoir on compact off-road trail with undulating terrain.

Participants choose their distance on the day by completing one or more laps. The event offers timed options including:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Minimum distance is 5 km (3.1 miles). Runners may continue for as many laps as they wish up to a 7 hour time limit. The event uses chip timing and provides an aid station and same day results. All attended and virtual participants receive a bespoke finisher medal or may select a lower cost no medal entry option at a flat fee of £22. Entries are limited and the organiser publishes athletes profiles in Phoenix World.

Surface and setting are off road, compact trail around the reservoir. Age-related distance restrictions apply for participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules; full terms and conditions are available from the organiser.
