PHOENIX Fridays - Run for a Tenner Friday - May

This Friday event takes place on Friday 29 May 2026 as part of the PHOENIX Fridays series. The Run for a Tenner entry option is listed at £10, and that amount is allocated to the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity. These Friday events are described as smaller than weekend events and typically have a lower entry fee than standard themed entries.

The format is a timed event on a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back lap along the river Thames. Participants may complete as many laps as they choose; distances offered include:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

The minimum distance for results is one lap, 3.28 miles, or as far as a participant can go within a seven hour time limit. The course is off road on a riverside towpath and is described as having no elevation gain or loss, making it flat for the duration.

A finishers' medal or memento is provided to all participants. For the Run for a Tenner charity runs a double-sided Rays of Sunshine medal is noted. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. Both attended and virtual entries receive a medal or memento.
