Run Around Ardingly Reservoir

The Phoenix West Sussex - Sunset 5K & 10K Run takes place along the edges of Ardingly Reservoir. This midsummer evening event follows a scenic out and back course that allows participants to experience the landscape during the twilight hours. The terrain consists of a mix of paved paths and compact off-road trails, featuring a variety of open views across the water, wooded sections, and gentle gradients.

Participants have the flexibility to select their preferred distance on the day of the event. The course is designed as a lap system where each circuit covers a specific distance:

  • 5 km (one lap)
  • 10 km (two laps)

The event is timed and the outdoor route is fully marshalled for guidance. Runners have access to an aid station stocked with various food and drink items throughout the run. After finishing, participants can utilize a dedicated zone to relax. Every runner who completes their chosen distance receives a finisher's medal or memento.

The course is described as undulating and is hosted at the Ardingly Activity Centre. Registration must be completed in advance as there are no entries available on the day of the event. Due to UK Athletics regulations, specific distance restrictions may apply to participants aged 20 or under. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
