The Fox Trail
The Fox is a trail running event held in the Surrey countryside. The event provides participants with a rural running experience through various locations in the region. The courses are marked with flags to assist with navigation throughout the race.
The event offers three distinct point-to-point or circular distances:
- 20 km - starting at Merrist Wood College in Worplesdon
- 41 km - starting at West Clandon Village Hall
- 62 km - starting at Burys Field in Godalming
All participants finish at a central location in Burys Field, Godalming. The event includes an overall time limit of 11 hours to complete the course, with rolling cut-off times enforced at each aid station. These aid stations are placed at regular intervals along the route and are stocked with supplies to support runners.
The event village provides facilities such as parking, toilets, and refreshments. Registration is subject to minimum age requirements: 17 years for the 20 km, 18 years for the 41 km, and 20 years for the 62 km. Results from the race can contribute to a runner's ITRA Performance Index, which ranks trail athletes on a global scale. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
