Kahtoola Uphill Race

The Kahtoola Uphill is an annual mountain race presented as a family friendly fundraiser for Friends of Camp Colton. The event is organized around multiple climb courses and marks a milestone year for the race. Participants may form teams of any number.

Race course options include the Cambium Wealth Strategies Fun Climb, the Midway Climb, and the Lumberyard Brewing Co. Öo’mawki Climb. All race proceeds benefit Friends of Camp Colton and support outdoor education programs for local students.

The event includes two raffle programs. The Peace Outfitters Race Raffle features many smaller prizes valued at $25 and up. The Golden Ticket Raffle offers 24 prizes, each valued at $500 or more; the organizers sell 240 Golden Tickets at $100 each and list the probability of winning as roughly one in ten. Winners do not need to be present to claim prizes.

Sponsorship is offered through a Champ for Camp program with multiple levels; sponsorship revenue is directed to program innovation, student access, and long range sustainability planning for Camp Colton. Volunteers are recruited to assist before, during, and after the event; volunteers receive racer swag and costume participation is optional.
