Kahtoola Uphill Race

The Kahtoola Uphill is presented as an annual mountain race and fundraiser for Friends of Camp Colton. Organizers present the event under the GORE-TEX Kahtoola Uphill name and describe it as family friendly and suitable for teams. Teams may include any number of participants.

The event offers multiple named climb courses, including the Cambium Wealth Strategies Fun Climb, the Midway Climb, and the Lumberyard Brewing Co. Öo’mawki Climb. Course options are intended to provide a range of experiences for participants. All proceeds benefit Friends of Camp Colton and support outdoor education programs for local students.

Fundraising features include two raffle programs. The Golden Ticket raffle sells 240 tickets at $100 each, with 24 prizes valued at $500 or more; winners need not be present and organizers will contact winners to rank prize choices. The Peace Outfitters Race Raffle offers many smaller prizes valued at $25 and up; winners also do not need to be present.

Volunteers are requested to help before, during, and after the event; volunteers receive racer swag and costumes are optional. The event includes a Champ for Camp sponsorship program with tiered levels; sponsorship income is described as fully supporting Friends of Camp Colton efforts to expand access, develop programs, and support Camp Colton’s sustainability.
