Event Overview

The Machine Solutions Run & Walk for Kids takes place in Flagstaff, Arizona, at Fort Tuthill County Park. This event represents the 48th edition of the race and serves as part of the Flagstaff Running Series. All proceeds from the event activities benefit the Northern Arizona Healthcare Children's Health Center.

Participants can choose from several event distances throughout the day. To manage trail capacity and minimize crowding on the routes, the in-person 10K and 5K events utilize wave starts where participants identify as either racing or recreational.

Distance Options

Individuals may register for the following in-person activities:

  • 10K Run or Walk on the Fort Tuthill route.
  • 5K Run or Walk on the Fort Tuthill route.
  • 2K Run or Walk on the Fort Tuthill route.
  • 100 Yard Dash specifically for children.

Virtual Participation

For those unable to attend the event at Fort Tuthill Loop, virtual options are available for the 10K, 5K, and 2K distances. Participants in the virtual category may complete their chosen distance on a course of their own design between July 18 and August 1. Results for virtual races are uploaded by the participant to the official tracking system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
