Juneteenth Menare Foundation 6k & 12k

This event takes place on June 19 at Button Farm Living History Center in Germantown, Maryland. Points earned at the event count toward the Year‑Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series.

The course is a hilly, scenic trail route that runs around Button Farm through the Schaeffer Farm Trails. The 6k is one lap and the 12k is two laps. Walkers are welcome.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T‑shirts are guaranteed for entrants registered before June 9; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Registration fees listed are: 6k $35 until May 31 (then $40) and 12k $50 until May 31 (then $55). Race morning registration prices increase by $5 for each distance. Race day registration is available and t‑shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for those registrants.

Water stations are provided: three on the 12k course at approximately mile markers 2, 3.7, and 5.7, and one on the 6k course at approximately mile marker 2; Gatorade is available at some stations. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place male and female finishers in standard age categories. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday following the race. A virtual race option is also available.
