Arc of Northern Virginia Community Challenge
The Community Challenge is an annual benefit event that raises funding to support programs, services, and advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The 2026 edition takes place at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia, and continues a tradition that has run for more than four decades.
Participants form teams to compete and fundraise together. Team formats include groups of 5-7 runners or up to 7 walkers. The event uses the park setting and trails as its venue and offers both a timed race option and an inclusive walk and roll option to accommodate a range of participation styles.
