Walkers are welcome. There is a "Back of the Pack" series for participants who average a slower pace, allowing them to compete for series points.
Registration & Fees
Registration is handled in advance; there is no on-site registration on race day. The registration fee for the 10K is $50 until May 31, after which it increases to $55. The price increases by a further $5 on race morning.
Participant Perks
Registered runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before June 10; for later registrants, shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Course & Support
The 10K course is an out-and-back route on the C&O Canal path. There will be three water stations along the 10K course, positioned approximately at mile markers 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the start/finish line.

Top three overall men and women for both the 5K and 10K are awarded during a post-race ceremony. Live results are posted on Athlinks.com, and a QR code at the event allows for immediate result viewing. Final results with series points are posted online the Monday after the race.

The event benefits the PUSO Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on providing hope and empowering individuals through service work. Since 2017, it has supported initiatives in eight countries.
