Froggy Hollow 9

Event Overview

The Froggy Hollow 5 & 9 is a timed trail ultra event held at Little Bennett Regional Park in Clarksburg, Maryland. Participants navigate a 4.4-mile loop throughout the park. The event is organized by Charm City Run Events and offers several different formats based on time and team participation.

Distance and Timing Options

Participants can choose from five distinct race categories:

• 9-Hour Challenge: An individual timed event on a 4.4-mile loop.
• 9-Hour Relay Challenge: A team-based timed event on a 4.4-mile loop.
• 5-Hour Challenge: An individual timed event on a 4.4-mile loop.
• 5-Hour Relay Challenge: A team-based timed event on a 4.4-mile loop.
• More Than a 4-Miler: A single distance event of 4.5 miles.

Course Information and Facilities

The race takes place on the trail systems within the park. A fully stocked aid station is located on the course to provide runners with various food and hydration options. The event is subject to the regulations of Montgomery County Parks (MNCPPC). If extreme weather occurs, the county may revoke the event permit, which would result in the cancellation of the in-person event. There is no designated rain date for the 2026 edition.

Regulations

Specific restrictions apply to the trail to ensure order and safety. The following are not permitted on the course: pacers, crew members, dogs, strollers, and unofficial runners (bandits).
