Event overview

The Froggy Hollow 5 & 9 presented by Altra is a timed trail ultra held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Little Bennett Campground in Clarksburg, MD (23705 Frederick Road). The event is produced by Charm City Run Events and includes solo and relay options.

Course and race format

All participants complete a 4.4-mile loop that begins and ends at Loop E of Little Bennett Campground. Trails used include Acorn Hollow, Beaver Valley, Stoney Brook, W Piedmont, Tobacco Barn, Windy Ridge, Browning Run, and Bennett Ridge. The course is marked with pink surveyor flags and pink flagging tape. Relay teams run the same loop one at a time and may exchange only within the designated exchange area; there is no set distance or time each relay member must cover. Not permitted on the trail are littering, pacers, crew, dogs, bandits, and strollers.

Logistics, amenities, and beneficiary

Packet pickup occurs at Charm City Run store locations before race day and on race day at the campground. All registrants have access to a stocked aid station on course, a long-sleeve race premium, a finisher medal, product demos including Altra shoe demos, and a post-race chili bar with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
