Northport Running Club presents the 47th Joe Latino Winter Relays

The Northport Running Club will hold the 47th edition of the Joe Latino Winter Relays at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, NY on February 28, 2026. The primary event is a cross country relay composed of three legs of two miles each, run around the grounds of the state park.

Post race activities include refreshments and a complimentary beverage at Napper Tandy's for participants who present their race bib. A costume contest is part of the event program; prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes.

Teams compete across multiple categories. Fourteen categories are listed, including Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Mixed Open, Men’s Masters and Women’s Masters for older age groups, senior masters divisions, a Still Kicking category for participants age 60 and over, boys and girls youth divisions, a youth mixed division, and a family category that requires related runners.

Team registration is organized by a team captain who may register teammates. Bib pick-up is available for pre-registered teams on race day, and day of registration is offered for teams registering at the venue. Prizes are awarded to winning teams in each category.
