Happily Running and the Long Island Greenbelt present a point to point trail race along the Suffolk County Long Island Greenbelt Trail. The event travels from the north shore at Sunken Meadow through towns and trails, passes under Sunrise Highway, and finishes at Heckscher State Park. The course is described as 100% on the Greenbelt Trail though it occasionally runs on or crosses roads. Course marking will be in place and a full map will be available.

Aid stations are fully stocked and will include Hyle Hydration and Huma gels at each station, plus sandwiches, snacks, sodas, candy, and fruit. Crew information for aid stations will be provided.

Logistics note that parking is at the finish area in Heckscher Park. Bus transport to the start is available for ticket holders, and drop-offs at the start are permitted. A start-line check-in will confirm participants on course.

Trail work requirement: each entrant is asked to donate two volunteer hours between signup and April 1. Options include volunteering with the Long Island Greenbelt Association, volunteering locally with verification, or donating $20 to the Long Island Greenbelt Trail. Instructions appear in the confirmation email.

Refund policy: refunds are not typical; rollover or transfer to other events is available. Refunds are unlikely within 14 days of the event.
