The Ironwood24 Ultra Trail Run takes place on the Ironwood property at the top of Black Hill, NSW, Australia, on 15 to 16 August 2026. The event uses a scenic loop of approximately 6.8 km per lap with about 300 m of elevation gain each lap. Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible within the event time.
There are multiple entry formats. Solo categories include a 24 hour option and a 12 hour option, where an individual runs as many laps as they can in the allotted time. A 24 hour team relay allows teams of two to six people, with one person running a lap at a time; team members sign up individually and a team name is required.
On site there will be camping, music, firepits, food and a coffee cart. The event is described as family friendly and includes a separate 24 minute kids race. Awards are given for winners and for specific achievements such as fastest lap and a best group dress up lap. Every participant receives an environmentally friendly race medal.
