The Iron Furnace Trail Run is a trail running event taking place at Lake Hope State Park and Zaleski State Forest in Ohio. The 2026 edition will be the 13th annual running of the event. The start and finish location was changed starting in 2025, but remains within Lake Hope State Park.

Course Information

The courses are run on singletrack trails. The half marathon route travels through the rugged and remote Zaleski State Forest. The course features deep gorges, scenic overviews, and rocky outcroppings. The 5 mile course is also pure singletrack, with part of it running along the lake.
