The event is held at Burr Oak Lodge in Glouster, Ohio. It features two races:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
The marathon is a single-loop trail course and the half marathon is a point-to-point on the same trails. The course is about 90% trail and 10% asphalt, and includes rolling hills, several creek crossings, and portions of the Buckeye Trail. The course will be well marked. The marathon has an 8-hour cutoff and the half marathon has a 7-hour cutoff. Hikers are welcome.
Logistics, awards and extras
Packet pickup is scheduled on Friday evening and Saturday morning at designated locations. Burr Oak Lodge offers on-site rooms, a restaurant, and an indoor pool; the lodge typically requires a two-night stay on race weekend. Registration prices vary by period: early, regular, and late pricing are listed separately for the marathon and half marathon. Participants receive a triblend tee and a finisher medal. Awards include top three overall male and female, and top three male and female in five-year age groups from 24 & under through 70 & over. Donations collected for the event support Burr Oak Alive.
