Huntsville Run Fest

Huntsville Run Fest is scheduled for October 24–25, 2026 at McMullen Cove, Alabama, near 38 McMullen Ln. The event includes a certified 5K road challenge and two trail distances that use the Two Mountain trail system.

The 25K follows a roughly 15.6 mile loop on mostly single track and double track; the 50K completes the same loop twice for about 31 miles. The 25K has approximately 2,500+ feet of climbing and the 50K about 5,000+ feet. Terrain includes steep climbs, technical sections, rugged descents, and some fast runnable stretches beneath a dense forest canopy.

Notable course features include Indian Trees, Pancake Hollow waterfall, Blake’s Cabin, Sublett Point overlook, and Silo Hill. Aid stations are placed at key points and are never more than four miles apart; Silo Hill is listed as unmanned with water only.

The Sublett Point Challenge is an out-and-back route on the Two Mountain Greenway that climbs a paved road to Sublett Point. Awards include overall and masters categories and a King of the Mountain prize for the fastest climb. A Ruck Division is offered for athletes carrying added weight.

Packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Huntsville and at McMullen Cove. Event proceeds will support childhood cancer research.
