Hueston Woods Trail Race

Hueston Woods Trail Race

This is a multi-event trail race weekend at Hueston Woods State Park, held October 24–25, 2026, at the Mountain Bike Trailhead. Events take place on mixed surfaces including single track, gravel, pavement, and grass. The local limestone and shale bedrock and abundant fossils are noted features of the park.

Distances contested include:

• Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
• 50K
• 30K
• 15K
• 10K
• 5K
• 6 Hours of Power event
• 20K relay

Course formats use looped layouts. Examples from the event listing include two-loop half marathons with about 1,200 feet of elevation gain and loss, one-loop 10K courses with about 600 feet, one-loop 5K courses with about 270 feet, and a 50K composed of seven 5K loops totaling about 2,700 feet of elevation gain and loss. The 6 Hours of Power runs on 5K loops and lists 270 feet of elevation gain per loop.

Every participant receives a custom race medal, race bib, sticker, a gel and candy, aid station support, a certified course, and published results. A Fall Pack Pass is available for entry into remaining 2026 events; the pass provides automatic registration and one medal per pass year, and it does not record a DNF for races not attended. Shirts are available for purchase, are nonrefundable, and will be shipped via Amazon Prime rather than distributed at the event.
