Remembrance Sunday 2026 is a trail running event on 8 November 2026 organised by Hare & Tortoise Running in Brightlingsea, Essex. The event includes live performances of the Last Post and Reveille before the race, with a two minute silence between them, and an on-course two minute silence observed during the event. Course and logistics

The race uses an undulating, traffic-free, looped trail course. Each loop measures 10.54 km / 6.55 m, with an overall time limit of six hours. Aid stations are located at the end of every lap and at approximately 5 km; participants must bring their own cup, flask, or bottle because the event is cupless. Participants may leave a bag at the aid station. On-course refreshments include flapjacks, sweets, fruit, nuts, water and squash. The race starts outside Batemans Tower Café, Promenade Way, Brightlingsea, CO7 0HH. Roadside parking is available along Promenade Way and in nearby public car parks. Toilets are located near Bateman’s Café in the car park at the end of Promenade Way and are accessible before, during and after the event. A night street orienteering event in Chelmsford on 21 January using MapRun with two courses of 4.0 km and 7.3 km. It counts toward the Essex Winter Midweek Series with handicap scoring and an Anytime catch-up option.
