Howelsen Hill Trail Run

The Howelsen Hill Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The event features two trail race distances and supports a local nonprofit through donated proceeds.

Races take place on single track trails within the Howelsen Hill and Emerald Mountain trail network. The loop course starts at Olympian Hall, follows the Bluff's trail, climbs on Lupine trail, and returns downhill via MGM and Meadow trail to the base of the ski area. All running is on trails and the course will be marked. There is one main aid station at the top of the climb. The event recommends carrying a personal hydration bottle or pack to reduce cup waste.

Packet pickup is available Friday, June 12, 4 pm - 6 pm at Rabbit Ears Running Company, 345 Anglers Dr. Packet pickup and in-person registration are available in Olympian Hall on race day.

Awards for first through third place male and female finishers will be presented outside Olympian Hall after the race. Every participant is entered in a prize raffle that follows the awards ceremony, and brunch will be provided by Winona’s.
