Plymouth, United Kingdom • 10-12 Jul 2026
Hope Trail Festival
Hope Trail Festival takes place Friday 10th July to Sunday 12th July 2026 at Newnham Park, Plymouth PL7 5BN. The event runs a timed endurance format on a well marked five mile loop within a large oak wooded estate. Participants can enter 12 hour, 24 hour or 36 hour events as a Solo, a Pair or a Team of three to eight.
- 5 mile loop main course
- Approx 1.7 mile Hope Trail Kids race
Entry includes free camping for participants and one accompanying adult plus children under 16. Parking is free and off road; runners may park adjacent to their tent in designated areas. There are toilets and urinals on site but no showers and no electric hook ups for campers. Trade stands, food vendors and masseurs operate from the race village.
Support is provided on course via a single checkpoint about two miles into the lap stocked with water, cola, Tailwind Nutrition Mandarin Orange and snacks. A transition area at the start and finish provides additional refreshments. All finishers who complete at least one lap receive a bespoke festival medal; 12, 24 and 36 hour finishers receive Bronze, Silver or Gold medals and podium trophies are awarded by category. Solo runners who reach 100 miles receive a 100 mile buckle; pairs and teams that reach 100 miles share a buckle and each receive a medal.
Mandatory kit must be carried during the race and a primary light such as a headtorch or chest torch is required for night running. Dogs are allowed on a lead and there is a dedicated canicross gathering area; owners must keep dogs under control because the estate contains livestock and wildlife and the course crosses a brook. Parents remain responsible for their children at all times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
