Hope Trail Festival

Hope Trail Festival is a timed trail running weekend held at Newnham Park in Plymouth. The event is based on a well marked loop and runs as three endurance formats with options to compete solo, as a pair or as a team (teams of 3 to 8). A separate childrens race is held on part of the course.

• Approximately 1.7 miles for the Hope Trail Kids race

The festival includes on-site camping for participants; the entry covers camping for one accompanying adult and children under 16. Parking is provided off road and adjacent to camping where appropriate. Traders, food vendors, masseurs and running suppliers operate from the Hope Race Village. Drinking water taps, toilets and a transition area with refreshments are available on site; showers and electric hook-ups are not provided.

Race logistics include a single checkpoint about 2 miles into the lap stocked with water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and a primary light is required for night running. Lap counting allows a participant to start a final lap before the time limit and have that lap counted on completion. Awards are issued by category with bespoke medals and trophies; solo runners who reach 100 miles receive a 100 mile buckle. Official event photography is provided free of charge after the race.
