Options and course
- 5 mile loop course for timed endurance events.
- 12 hour, 24 hour, 36 hour options for Solo, Pair or Team entries.
- Kids race on a shorter course of approximately 1.7 miles.
Entry formats and awards
Events are open to solo runners, pairs and teams of three to eight. All finishers who complete at least one lap receive a bespoke Hope Trail Festival medal. The 12 hour, 24 hour and 36 hour categories receive bronze, silver and gold Hope Ultra medals respectively. Podium trophies are awarded by category and a 100 mile buckle is presented to solo runners who reach that milestone; pairs and teams that reach 100 miles receive a buckle to share plus medals.
Facilities and race support
The site provides free off road parking, a dedicated transition area with refreshments, a single checkpoint about 2 miles into the loop stocked with water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks, toilets and drinking water taps. There are trade stands, food vendors and free professional event photography; photo links are posted after the event (processing typically takes 48–72 hours). Campervans are permitted; electric hook ups and showers are not provided.
Safety and rules
Mandatory kit must be carried at all times; a primary light such as a headtorch is required for night running. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and start from the rear; parents remain responsible for child supervision on the private estate. Lap counting rules allow a participant to start a final lap before the category finish time and have that lap count once completed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
