Hope Trail Festival

The Hope Trail Festival takes place at Newnham Park, Plymouth, from Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July 2026. The event uses a marked five mile trail loop on a private country estate about five miles from Plymouth city centre.

Distances and formats include:

  • 5 mile trail loop repeated over timed events
  • Timed events: 12 hour, 24 hour, 36 hour for Solo, Pair or Team entries
  • Kids race approximately 1.7 miles for runners aged up to 16

Timed races allow Solo runners, Pairs and Teams of three to eight. Awards include bespoke medals for all runners completing at least one lap, Bronze Silver and Gold medals for the 12 24 and 36 hour categories, podium trophies for top Solo Pairs and Teams, and a 100 mile buckle for Solo runners who reach the milestone; pairs and teams that achieve 100 miles receive a buckle to share plus medals.

Onsite provisions include free camping for participants with one accompanying adult and children under 16 included, free off road parking, trade stands and food outlets, toilets and drinking water taps. There are no showers and no electric hook ups. A single checkpoint around two miles offers water cola Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and a primary light is required when out on the course between evening and dawn. Dogs are permitted on a lead with restrictions and safety rules enforced. Lap counting permits starting a final lap before the time limit and completing it to have it count toward the total. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
