Hope Trail Festival 2027
Hope Trail Festival is a timed trail running festival held at Newnham Park near Plymouth. The event uses a well marked loop of approximately 5 miles for its main timed races and offers multiple entry formats: solo, pairs and teams of three to eight. A separate timed kids race of about 1.7 miles is available for runners up to age 16; parents may run with children but supervision remains the guardian's responsibility.

The festival provides on-site camping for participants and one accompanying adult plus children under 16, off-road parking, toilets and drinking taps. There are no showers or electrical hook-ups. A single checkpoint on the course (around 2 miles in) stocks water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks; the transition area also offers refreshments and on-site food traders and trade stands sell running kit and nutrition. Professional event photography is provided and links are published after the event.
Awards include bespoke medals for all who complete at least one lap, duration medals for each timed race, trophies for top solo, pair and team categories and a 100 mile buckle for solo runners who reach that milestone. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and a primary light such as a headtorch is required for night running. The route is reversed periodically so the event maintains two course records.
