Hope Trail Festival is a timed trail event held at Newnham Park in Plymouth from Friday 10th July to Sunday 12th July 2026. The event uses a well marked approximately 5 mile loop on estate trails and offers multiple timed formats for individuals and groups.

Distances and formats:

  • 5 mile loop course used for timed laps.
  • 12 hour, 24 hour and 36 hour timed endurance events.
  • Kids race approximately 1.7 miles, timed and medalled.

Twelve hour entrants receive a bronze medal, 24 hour entrants a silver medal and 36 hour entrants a gold medal; podium trophies are awarded in male, female and mixed categories. Solo runners who reach 100 miles receive a 100 mile buckle; pairs and teams that reach 100 miles share a buckle and each receive a medal.

The event includes free participant camping with one adult plus one guest and children under 16 covered by entry, free off‑road parking, trader and catering outlets, on‑site refreshments in the transition area, and free event photography. Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and a primary light is required for night running. A checkpoint at about 2 miles supplies water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks. The venue is a private estate with livestock and water crossings; dogs are allowed on a lead and runners are responsible for supervision of children.
