Hope Trail Festival : Newnham Park, Plymouth (10–12 July 2026)

Hope Trail Festival is a timed trail-running festival held across a weekend at Newnham Park, Plymouth. The event uses a well-marked loop of approximately 5 miles and offers three timed endurance formats: 12-hour, 24-hour and 36-hour events. Runners may enter as a solo, as a pair, or as a team of three to eight.

All finishers who complete at least one lap receive a bespoke Hope Trail Festival medal. Medal colours differ by event length and podium trophies are awarded in Male, Female and Mixed categories for Solo, Pairs and Teams. Solo entrants who reach 100 miles receive a commemorative buckle; pairs and teams share the buckle and each receive a medal.

The venue provides free camping for participants including one accompanying adult and children under 16, free off-road parking, toilets, drinking water taps and on-site food and trade stalls. A single checkpoint on course stocks water, cola, Tailwind Mandarin Orange and snacks; additional refreshments are available in the transition area. Professional event photography is provided free of charge.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and lighting is required for night running. Dogs are allowed on leads with restrictions. No refunds are offered; deferrals and transfers are managed under the organiser's policies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A 26.2 mile self-navigated coastal run from Rock to Boscastle along the North Cornwall Coast Path with three manned checkpoints and a nine hour cut off. A two person Soft Boiled Relay runs as a separate category.

A guided Dartmoor trail run of about 10 miles exploring Holne Moor and Ryder's Hill, with an optional swim at Sharrah Pool if conditions allow. Steady-paced, kit recommended includes trail shoes, waterproof and a change of clothes.

A traditional fell race from Belstone Village to Cosdon Beacon and back, roughly 3.1 miles with about 300 m of climbing over rough open terrain. The course is unmarked so runners must navigate themselves and report at the beacon checkpoint.

A new 100 mile team relay in South Devon on 19 July 2026, split into 16 legs from 5 km to just under 16 km. Teams of 10 to 16 runners compete for awards while the event raises funds for two local charities.
