HOOTIE HOO 8K TRAIL | 5K PAVED | HOOT X 2
The event takes place on March 29, 2026 at River Bends Park (22 Mile Entrance), with start and finish at Hickory Grove Pavilion in Shelby Township, MI. It offers three race options across two surfaces.
- 8K - trail
- 5K - paved bike path
- HOOT X 2 - 8K trail plus 5K paved
Runners choosing the HOOT X 2 must finish the 8K in 60 minutes or less to start the 5K. Youth pricing is available; youth 12 years and under are $20 and race day youth price is $25. Standard entry fees are listed for each event and an early registration pricing deadline is noted by the organizer.
Participants can select a swag item, with a gender specific 1/4 zip tech shirt or a tech running cap as options. Youth category does not include a swag item but youth finishers receive a finisher award. The first 50 registrants receive a mystery gift at registration.
Awards are given for overall male and female and for multiple age groups in both the 8K and 5K; HOOT X 2 prizes go to the top two male and female combined times. Post-race refreshments will be available and a coffee truck will be onsite. Early packet pickup is scheduled the prior Saturday at Hanson’s Running Shop in Utica.
