The course includes rocks, roots, and an elevation change of approximately 55 feet, with possible muddy conditions; the event is rain or shine. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is not officially timed and has minimal elevation change. Race check-in is provided on race day. Friendly dogs are welcome and jogging/running strollers are allowed at the participant’s discretion.

All finishers will receive a medal. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd male and female finishers and age category prizes for the 5K. Post-race water and snacks will be provided. The event is a fundraiser for a newly established 501(c)(3) foundation that supports Michigan-based animal rescues; fundraising teams and prize opportunities for donated pet supplies are part of the event.
