Trail and Ale 2026
Trail and Ale 2026 takes place on September 19, 2026 at Blackwell Trails / Howard Watson Trail, trail entrance 1285 Michigan Ave, Sarnia, ON, Canada. The event offers live and virtual participation; the virtual option can be completed between September 1 and September 18, 2026.
The route heads north on the Howard Watson Trail from Michigan Ave and dips into the Blackwell Trails. Distances offered include:
- 5 km run or walk
- 10 km run
- 15 km run as an extension of the 10 km
The live event is timed; a bib and chip timing ankle strap are provided for the in-person event. Children 14 and under may participate in the 5 km free with a registered adult; they receive a chip timer and a medal only. Participants aged 19 and over receive one can of local craft beer or a beer mug with registration; the first 200 registered participants aged 19 and over receive a custom beer mug.
Race kit and beer pickup is scheduled for Friday, September 18 at Refined Fool, 1326 London Rd in Sarnia; morning-of pickup is available for those unable to attend Friday. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers and best finish times by category. Funds raised support Rayjon programs in Haiti and the Dominican Republic focused on education, health care and the empowerment of women.
The live event will proceed rain or shine. If the live event cannot proceed, participants will be transferred to the virtual option and refunds will not be issued. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
